Retro Parent Coach
My name is Shyla Lee, and I love retro music, clothes, cars…and parenting practices! When it was time to name my new coaching business, I knew it had to be Retro Parent Coach.
I come to parent coaching after raising four boys with my husband of 30+ years, David. I started working with children and families in 2001, as a Mothers Day Out teacher at a church in Nashville. After 6 years there, I moved into support staff work at an elementary school, then decided to finish my degree and get a teaching license. I’ve taught 3rd grade and kindergarten, both public and private schools.
I’ve watched and experienced how the seismic shift in parenting practices impacts family and school life. Today, parents face challenges previous generations never could have anticipated. My goal is to help families get anchored to timeless truths and move forward with confidence. It is an honor to work with parents and help them bring more stability, calm, and happiness to their homes.
